Loker Jakarta Selatan ACG School Jakarta is a private, independent, co-educational Kindergarten to Year 13 day school located in South Jakarta, Indonesia. The school is a member of Inspired Education Group who own and operate 72 schools globally and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). The School is governed by the foundation (Yayasan) and is a registered school with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. ACG School Jakarta was founded in 2004 and has grown steadily from a small primary school to a comprehensive Kindergarten to Year 13 international school. ACG School Jakarta is unique in that it is permitted to enrol students who hold passports from Indonesia and other parts of the world. The school’s central location serves families who are employed by embassies, multinational corporations and other businesses. We have a non-selective admission policy and serve the needs of the expatriate and local community in Jakarta. The successful application will have the following:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Library & Information
- Experience as school librarian/teacher
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- ICT skills
- Initiative to create a fun, dynamic environment Implement & maintain current systems & practices in cataloging referencing
- IB PYP, IGCSE, and IBDP Schools experience an advantage
- Provide current Police Clearance Certificate (Surat Kelakuan Baik)
The librarian works alongside students and faculty to support learning and teaching. The librarian supports the school in creating positive learning environments that motivate and challenge all learners to become self-regulated, life-long learners and leaders. This person is responsible for the management of the library at ACG Jakarta
Key Responsibilities:
- Through personal and professional influence (demonstrating the core values), ensure that the library is a welcoming, positive and productive learning environment
- Develop a library Annual Operational Plan in collaboration with the ALT
- Promote the library services, special events, and resources to all students and faculty
- Develop a training schedule to ensure that all faculty and students are appropriately trained in how to best access library resources
- Develop and update library information in the Parent and Student and Staff Handbook
- Develop plans with Team Leaders to review and enhance courses, units of work, and core areas of the curriculum
- Provide guidance and assistance to faculty and students in the use of the library database (Follett Destiny)
- Prepare annual budget requests for resources and capital expenditure
- Take guidance on purchasing decisions
- Ensure displays are kept up-to-date and relevant
- Issue and process book and resource returns
- Work with the IT Technician to ensure that all software and hardware requirements are updated and functional
- Process new stock and repair resources as required
- Complete annual stock take as required
- Oversee and manage class visits/bookings and liaise with teachers bringing classes into the library
